learning lab
In our Orlando office, we continue to offer high quality services. We have over 10 stations, each designed with a different theme to work on several skills, including visual performance, academics, fine and gross motor, pretend play, social skills. Kids can also work on their independent living skills, like folding clothes and washing dishes. On a daily basis, we run circle time to work on attending skills for school, including sitting and listening to teacher. Kids learn about the weather, months of the year and days of the week, in addition to shapes, colors, rhyming words, numbers and letters. We have a sensory room that kids can play in during breaks from therapy and use when they’re feeling overwhelmed.
During the school breaks, we do community outings and work on advanced social skills. These activities include going to a park, movies, pool, and public library. For the older kids, we worked on transportation, like riding the train, and earning money. We completed bigger outings that worked on tolerance to waiting, sharing and following directions, among other skills. Some of these outing included mini golf, arcade, bowling, obstacle course, and escape rooms.
